Meet the team: Naomi – Wedding Sales Executive, Billesley Manor
Written 27th February 2020
The team at Billesley Manor is our greatest asset. We take great pride in providing an unforgettable experience for you, especially on your wedding day. We know that it’s one of the most important days of your life.
Naomi is the wedding sales executive here at our beautiful wedding venue in Stratford-upon-Avon. She’s a key part of making your big day as special as possible. With a plethora of experience in the industry, we picked Naomi’s brains about what a wedding at Billesley Manor is like.
How long has the venue been hosting weddings?
In 1989, Billesley Manor was turned from a family home into a country house hotel. So, the hotel has been hosting weddings since this time. However, as Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway here in 1582, it could be argued that Billesley has been hosting weddings for over 437 years.
How long have you been working in your role at Billesley Manor and what have been some highlights of your time there?
I started working at Billesley on the 17th August 2010, so this will be my tenth year at the property. I started full time, and then left to have my little girl before returning part-time after having 9 months off.
The highlights have definitely been seeing my couples get married and having the privilege of playing a small part in their day. No two weddings are the same at Billesley. I love planning in the lead up to a wedding, and then seeing it all come together on the day is the ultimate reward. We had the Topiary Suite fully refurbished last year. It looks amazing, and I’m so excited to show this room to future couples. It’s truly beautiful and overlooks our Topiary Garden, which is over 100 years old. The suite has the real wow factor for weddings.
Do you tend to use local suppliers when coordinating weddings?
Yes, all of our suppliers are local. I have worked with them over the period of 10 years and built up great working relationships with them. I trust them with our weddings, and they are without a doubt the best in the business at what they do and provide.
When you’re working with a client, what is your approach to planning their special day? Is it a personalised, bespoke approach to the planning?
All our brides and grooms are unique, and our aim is to plan a day that is as distinctive as the couple.
We do offer a bespoke wedding service, and we can get as involved as the client requires. We also offer packages to help with the planning process. The majority of our weddings, though, are very much personalised for the couple and what they envisage for their day. Ultimately it’s all about them, so no one-size fits all on this incredibly important day.
I am normally on-hand for most of our weddings, and I do get very attached to our brides and grooms. It’s such a big day in their lives, and we spend so much time making sure that everything is as they wish. After all, you only have one opportunity to get it right for the couple.
What makes a wedding at Billesley Manor unlike any other?
Billesley Manor is a true hidden gem. We have amazing grounds and gardens, and our stunning main function room, which overlooks the Topiary Gardens. Couples can now hold their ceremony here, too, either inside or outside depending on the time of year.
Our bedrooms can be booked for the wedding, so there is no need for your guests to rush off. They can stay and relax the following day and make a weekend of the celebrations.
Importantly, we have an exclusive policy to host only one wedding per day. This means that the couple on the day is our main focus and our dedicated team ensures their day is perfect.
We are proud of our long tradition of service and hospitality to all guests. We also recognise that each person has different desires, needs and expectations of their event. Our aim is to satisfy these uncompromisingly.
