Join us as we make the next chapter in our history. 1599 was a memorable year for Sir William Shakespeare, he visited Billesley Manor twice. First as a quiet retreat to put pen to paper and compose his 20th play, the comedy "As you like it". Later in the year he visited again for a more romantic reason as it is rumoured that he married Anne Hathaway in the Church of All Saints within the estate grounds.
