Our Brailled Wedding Guide | Billesley Manor

At Billesley Manor, we radiate an aura of elegance and historical beauty — an achievement which fills us with a sense of accomplishment as a hotel.

However, our hotel is more than just its appearance and good reviews; we aim to surpass the expectations of those who choose to visit us, looking to redefine the guest experience.

So, for 2024, we’re doing just that — for the visually impaired.

At Billesley Manor, we aim to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free, with opportunities to roam our grounds with ease, as well as make use of our facilities, to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Our team of dedicated and hardworking individuals look out for each guest and accommodate their needs where we can.

By focusing on adapting aspects of our hotel to be more accessible, we’re hoping to increase customer confidence and their sense of independence while navigating our hotel.

The incorporation of our brailled wedding guide is just the beginning of new improvements and arrangements that we’re planning to achieve throughout 2024.

The Brailled Wedding Guide | Our Vision

As a hotel, we’re resurfacing the importance of creating inclusive facilities, and our braille initiative is the start of our journey towards being fully inclusive and accessible.

We’ve designed the brailled wedding guide to provide our guests with an immersive experience during their stay, while equipping them with all they need to explore and navigate our hotel and grounds independently.

Aligned with a detailed layout of the manor, including room layouts, amenities and essential information, the guide aims to empower our guests to navigate their wedding with confidence and ease.

Unveiling Insights with Our Sales Director

Laura Cherrington, our Sales Director here at Billesley Manor, shared her thoughts on the significance of the brailled wedding guide, and what the future holds for inclusivity at Billesley.

She said: “Today, more than 30,000 people in the UK use braille to help them communicate and, at Billesley Manor, we believe in creating an environment where every guest feels valued and welcomed.

“So, the introduction of our braille guide aligns with our commitment to ensuring an inclusive and accommodating experience for all our guests, regardless of their circumstances.”

“Embracing inclusivity is a constant evolution, and a promise we continue to uphold. It’s our commitment to building it into every essence of our offerings, ensuring that every person feels welcome here. With every addition, we’re redefining hospitality.”

Exploring the Impact of the Brailled Wedding Guide

So, what lies behind the concept of the brailled wedding guide, and how does it make things more accessible for visually impaired individuals in a hotel?

Our innovative new guide is just the start of new and upcoming changes around the hospitality sector, with many hotels placing utmost importance on the guest experience —  regardless of their circumstance.

The launch of our brailled wedding guide serves as a catalyst for future initiatives as we pledge to extend our accessibility efforts throughout 2024 and beyond.

We’re already looking to expand our braille provisions to include menus and room information packs, creating a more independent experience for visually impaired guests.

And, as we continue with our commitment to accessibility, we eagerly anticipate the positive impact, affirming our dedication to re-focusing on inclusivity.

We’re excited to announce that our brailled wedding guide will be available to use from January 2024! If you’d like to know more, please contact a member of our team.
